Avila summit

Did you hear the news? Just this week, Dan Burke was approached by a benefactor. Wishing to remain anonymous, the benefactor did something amazing. This person paid for half of the next 75 Avila Summit tickets. Register for the 2018 Avila Summit for just $250, while the 75 tickets remain (as I'm writing this, there are actually 65 left!). If you want to be a part of this milestone event held this July 13-15 at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, AL, now is the time to reserve your spot.

Imagine learning at the feet of Cardinal Francis Arinze and Fr. Cassian Folsom, praying at the tomb of Mother Angelica, bonding with Catholics from around the world all united in one purpose: bringing the world to Christ. Worship Animates Culture. This is true for better or for worse. Idolatrous worship makes idolatrous culture. Worship of material, results in materialism. Worship of the world, and all of its glitter, has entrenched us in a culture of secular humanism. All the while, Catholics have had the key to reversing course. Are we ready to stand up, and transform the culture in America? “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed in with three measures of flour until all of it was leavened.” (Matthew 13:33) If you've ever baked bread, you know that a pinch of yeast can leaven a lot of dough. Three measures is over 60 pounds worth.

As Catholics, we must renew our understanding of the ineffable power we have to transform the world. Sanctity and right worship –  even a pinch of it – can infuse and transform the whole world: for us, for our children, our grandchildren – but most importantly, for souls. As Christians we are sent to “make disciples of all nations” that Christ might be known and that souls might be saved. We must rediscover the evangelical power of the interior life. We must unleash the power of the liturgy, in all of its splendor, to transform the culture.

On the shoulders of giants who have paved the way – from Mother Angelica, to Ven. Archbishop Fulton Sheen, to Fr. Cassian Folsom – the Avila Summit will be ground zero for the revitalization of the Catholic Church in America, and we want you to be there.

To register now, while there is still space, visit avila-institute.org/events/ and enter the Promo Code SUMMIT2018 at checkout. That will give you half off the cost of registration. Please keep the benefactor that has made this possible in your prayers.

I am so excited to meet you face-to-face! Our charism, at the Avila Institute, extends through thousands, in over 70 countries, all around the world. The thought of being together in person for the first time gives me joy and hope for the future.
