What a helpful podcast. Thank you so much for your perspective. I have personally been staying away from the news because it does cause me anxiety and upset which can be destructive because I want to keep myself in God’s peace. Knowing the basic problems that are going on in the world is enough in order to pray about those situations which is more productive than worrying about them. Phil. 4:8 gives us the justification for doing the above as you have mentioned and this scripture should have a big influence in our lives as Christians:

“Finally beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think on these things. Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.”

I think your podcast will help some people actually give themselves permission to not get entangled within the web of hyperbole, argumentation and fake news and bring more peace into their lives. Thanks again Dan & Melissa!
