Dan and Dr. Lilles, as you spoke of students lives being transformed as they delve more deeply into the truths of our faith, along with the Saints and doctors of the Church, I was again reminded of my own personal transformation. As a senior adult seeking a relationship with Christ, having no knowledge of the spiritual life, and having not been involved in any type of classroom environment since my early twenties, I became a student at the Avila Institute nearly four years ago. Dr. Lilles, you were my first professor at Avila, and of a graduate class, no less. As I had gone no further than junior college, I was, at first, intimidated by how theologically advanced the students seemed to be, compared to myself. I will never forget your kind words of wisdom and encouragement to continue and persevere the best I could.

Dan, you were my second instructor at Avila, and your course, Navigating the Interior Life, proved to be the beginning of my beautiful, transforming, relationship with Jesus. Since this class, nearly four years ago, the miracles and blessings that have occurred in my life have been astounding, and too numerous for this post; but I would like to let others know that over the over the course of these past years, I learned to say Yes to Jesus.

Saying Yes to Jesus, trusting in Him, resulted in a 68 year old senior leaving everything she knew, pulling up stakes, so to speak, including children, to move clear across the country, from CA to AL, to serve Him and deepen my relationship with Him.

So much more could be said; but I would just like to tell anyone who is reading this, no matter what your age, the degrees you have attained, if you do not have a prayer life, an intimate relationship with our Lord, living in this current culture of death today, can seem quite overwhelming, and fruitless, as it was for me when I first became a student, someone knowing nothing of prayer, the Real Presence, and who had even tried taking their life.

Thank you Dr. Lilles and Dan for an awesome broadcast and for being such an awesome part of my transformation.
