Pilgrimage to Spain in November of 2017

I have no doubt this will be an extraordinary trip not only because of the location and the significance of what we will see and experience but also because of the exceptional group of people who will be joining us. We will have pilgrims from Australia, Ireland, Singapore, the United States, and I believe Canada as well. I am humbled by the opportunity to meet and spend time with so many who have engaged with us over the years.

We were very surprised and delighted at how quickly we filled up to our initial capacity. A few folks who wanted to attend thought that they had more time to register so we have opened a few more seats. Our goal is still to keep the group at a size that allows us to get to know one another. If you would like to a spot be sure to submit your initial deposit very soon. Below you will find a link to a video about the pilgrimage as well as a link to the pilgrimage webpage, where you will find an in-depth itinerary along with Dr. Lilles' virtual tour of the Pilgrimage to Spain that will take place November 16-25.

We are excited to be able to invite you on this pilgrimage of a lifetime, where you will more deeply encounter the mystical tradition of the Church through visiting the places frequented by some of the great Avila Logo for post on Pilgrimage to SpainSpiritual Doctors of the Church. We know from the New Testament that the power of the Holy Spirit working in the saints makes the things the saints touched and places they went resonate with us on an eternal level.  We hope you can join us for what is sure to be a transformative experience as we engage with the mystical wisdom of the Church through the holy and historic places we will visit. You can read all about the pilgrimage and register at our pilgrimage webpage by clicking here.

how strenuous will this pilgrimage be?
    steep inclines, many stairs?

    • LizEst

Thank you for your question veronica. Dr. Lilles says: “We will be walking on stairs and uneven surfaces – about one to two miles a day.”

  • Valerie Saldanha

Since you mention people joining from other countries I do hope I can join this pilgrimage too from India.
