Vocal Prayer (Catechism paragraph 2703)

Duerer-Prayer for post on vocal prayer

…God seeks worshippers in Spirit and in Truth, and consequently living prayer that rises from the depths of the soul. He also wants the external expression that associates the body with interior prayer, for it renders him that perfect homage which is his due.

“A catechism should faithfully and systematically present the teaching of Sacred Scripture, the living Tradition of the Church and the authentic Magisterium, as well as the spiritual heritage of the Fathers and the Church's saints, to allow for a better knowledge of the Christian mystery and for enlivening the faith of the People of God. It should take into account the doctrinal statements which down the centuries the Holy Spirit has intimated to his Church. It should also help illumine with the light of faith the new situations and problems which had not yet emerged in the past…the Catechism of the Catholic Church on the one hand repeats the old, traditional order already followed by the Catechism of St Pius V, arranging the material in four parts: the Creed, the Sacred Liturgy, with pride of place given to the sacraments, the Christian way of life, explained beginning with the Ten Commandments, and finally, Christian prayer. At the same time, however, the contents are often expressed in a new way in order to respond to the questions of our age. ”  (Apostolic Constitution Fidei Depositum on the Publication of the Catechism of the Catholic Church Prepared following the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, 11 October 1992)

we pray with all our mind body and soul.. when one is neglected the others suffer, balance… when we are sick ,we tend to be crabby , so too if we are sinful we feel down ,crabby or cant think clearly.. reading a book “mysteries marvels miracales-lives of the saints”this book talks about the love of God scripture and how our soul effects our body mind and life… if you are deeply united to God it will affect everything you do and say- you wonder -wow i did not know that -as you say something.. God takes over.. His wisdom abounds

Oh dearest Jesus, my beloved.  Call me to dance with you, to move with and in you.  Generate within me that explosive freedom that compels me to lift my voice, my heart, my soul, in adoration of your adorable face.  Help me to love you in spirit and in truth  AMEN

I can feel this prayer  liberating my Spirit to revel in the love of God !!!

  • So much have I learned from reading the life of Saint Faustina Kowalska…she had taught me how Jesus loves all sinners and calls them unceasingly to run back to Him and into His  open arms with repentant hearts and contrite souls….place our our wretchedness, our brokennes, our miserable selfish hearts and deformed souls at His Feet and allow Him to wash away all our sins, heal our hearts and souls and strengthen us…..the only condition is that we trust Him completely…..with that, the Holy Spirit will do the rest.  Jesus I Trust in  You
