A Note from One of our Readers…

A Note from one of our readers…

Dan,

I find your website one of the most valuable sources there is for Catholic Spiritual Direction and I thank you, Fr. John Bartunek, and the other bloggers for your continued guidance.

While surfing the internet this evening, I came across About.com and their Catholic Readers' Choice Awards (http://catholicism.about.com/b/2012/01/13/announcing-the-2012-about-catholicism-readers-choice-awards.htm) in which those who enjoy certain areas of Catholic media can vote for their favorite. There are ten different categories including Best Catholic Blog and Best Catholic Website.

I would like to let the others who go to site faithfully to know of this opportunity to vote. Even if they only choose to vote for Best Catholic Newspaper or Best Catholic Radio Show, it is important that Catholicism is represented by the most faithful.

Would it be possible to let your reader's know of this opportunity? And, please know that I am definitely voting for www.spiritualdirection.com!

Debbie

Would I vote for this site under “blog” or “website”?

    • This is probably considered a blog

  • This is my favourite Website….and believe me, I have subscribed to quite a number of Catholic Websites.  So, like Sharon, I ask….do I vote this Website under “blog” or “Website”? I don’t want to make a mistake.  This Website is Numero Uno

I just noticed the new link to vote…and I did! While doing so I decided to visit the blog currently with the most votes, and noticed that they are asking their visitors to vote every day. So I checked out the rules and it says:

What controls do you have in place to ensure fairness during the voting process?
Users must provide an email address or log in via their Facebook or About.com accounts to vote. Votes are limited to one vote per award category per user per day, and any votes not originating from the about.com domain will be rejected. We have internal checks in place to detect fraudulent voting activity, and in some cases the poll results shown during voting may not reflect the accurate final counts used to determine winners.

Here’s a link that goes directly to the page to vote for best blog!!
